Too busy to blog...
... And with the good also comes the bad. Our friend Andrew had a horrible accident and has a lot of damage to his vertebrae. He is working on moving his fine motor skills and regaining movement back in his legs at a rehabilitation center in Chicago. Ryan and I are going to a concert in Chicago in July and so we are planning on going to visit. Andrew is an extremely positive person and his sense of humor, positivity, and determination is so inspiring to me. It really puts life in perspective. Day to day life can get to exhausting, frustrating, trying, but then to see him not complaining about anything (accept having to hear pants at the new facility) makes me believe so strongly that God only gives us what he knows we can handle and it shows that Andrew is an amazing person that will do amazing things in his life. He is an inspiration to many people and it is people like that that I feel blessed to have in my life.
Jameson is up north for the weekend. My in-laws picked him up this morning for his first weekend at the cottage. Jason, Jameson's cousin (about 3 months younger), is going up too. This is just the first of many cottage weekends for Jameson. I can just picture the 2 cousins causing trouble up there when they are older. I am glad that he has a boy cousin his age on both sides of the family!
Going the whole weekend with Jameson up north is hard. Today after Jameson left I took some time to do some things I haven't been able to do for awhile, shave my legs, get a pedicure, and tanning!! So, yes, part of me is enjoying the extra "me" time, but by Sunday, I will be staring out the window waiting for the truck to pull up with my little man inside.
Next week I will be going to St. Luis with Ashley. I have never been there so I want to do the touristy stuff like the arch and City Museum, etc. Ashley has a friend from her home town that lives in the heart of everything and so we are staying with her. I am looking forward to the trip, but missing Jameson will be on my mind the entire time.
I know that no matter how old I get, I still feel like I don't know what I would do without my parents. They are amazing people, they both have such large hearts for other people. I am constantly still learning from them and feel like they are not only my role models, but my friends. I feel like they support me in everything I do, which I know I will do for Jameson everyday of his life. I just feel like I can never thank my parents enough. Simply saying "Thanks" is never enough. I guess just to trying my hardest to learn from them and be the best person is all I can do.

Mommy Vacation
Brett was very excited to not have to be on a leash the whole weekend. She is getting better at listening the older she gets. She also did go into the water! Although she did only get her feet wet, she is such a baby!
Tuesday was back to work as usual and back to reality. We now have something going on every weekend for the next 7 weekends!! I do love summer, but I hate being so busy! I would love a free weekend to spend with just Ryan and Jameson, maybe going to the park, or zoo or something. Oh, and as for next year, we already know of at least 3 weddings next summer!! It never ends.
Kitchen Update: Ryan finished the tile last night and just has to grout in-between tiles. Tony came last weekend and worked on the electrical work for about 10 hours!! I cannot wait until our kitchen is complete, we began this on March 8th so we are almost at 3 months! Seems like forever. I will post some pictures of the progress soon.
Jameson is doing great, he was eating a ton for a couple days and now he is in his sleep mode, which will last for a couple days. He likes to put his arms out now when he wants to be picked up. It's hard not to pick him up but when I know he is tired I just walk away and let him go to sleep on his own, as hard as it is.
Well, I got called into work on my day off so I better go get ready on this very rainy day! Then volleyball tonight! Yay!!

Trying to figure out the world of blogging...
Today I decided to start a blog. I’m just learning about this whole new thing so bear with me. I really wanted to have a spot to write down things from time to time to keep family/friends updated on our busy family.
Jameson is 5 1/2 months and he just discovered that his feet are his own! He woke up very happy today, as he does most days and when I walked in, he had his feet in his hands! Super cute! I have to get a picture of him doing that!
Yesterday, when I walked into his room in the morning for his usual 6:00am bottle, he had turned his body 90 degrees so his feet were on the front bars and his head was against the back bumper. Not quite sure how he was able to do that. I have only seen him rotate on his belly.
Jameson loves to put anything and everything into his mouth. I really hope he gets teeth soon! He has rosey cheeks a lot and when he came with me to the dentist on Monday, the dentist said that’s a sign that it’s to come. How the time flies!!
Summer is finally here and Jameson LOVES to be outside. He watches the leaves and loves to stand with his bare feet in the grass. When we go on walks with Brett, Jameson loves to watch Brett up ahead and sometimes you can hear Jameson giggle at her. I don’t know when Jameson would be old enough to go on a baby swing at the park, but I am very excited for him to go on a swing for the first time.
In about 2 weeks we have Jameson’s 6 month check up. I can’t believe he is almost 6 months! Time for the beginning of finger foods!! I’m not sure how he will do but he is so smart and picks up on things VERY quickly so I think he will get the hang of it.
Jameson is also doing very well at sitting. When he has a toy that he is playing with he forgets he is the one that is balancing himself and can sit for 5-10 seconds!! On his belly he is able to push his upper body up pretty high. We really have to get our house baby-proof soon!!
